A step towards the legofication of personal computing.
A few years ago as the age of the smart phone was just dawning I imagined modular handsets where you could slap on a beefier camera, or a physical qwerty, larger screen, larger battery. There are some iPhone cases w/ added functionality like extended batteries and camera flash that are tip-toeing in this direction.
Android’s impact on the market really is kind of amazing.

Now how long until the optics guys throw in the towel, admit they’re not app designers and just leave it at a BTH link to your smart phone? 2 years?
